How can this service help me?
If you need a 7.5-minute (1:24,000 scale) topographic map for a location in the lower 48 states, just click that location on the above map and then click the "Submit" button. A new page will appear with links to download free topo maps covering the area you selected and the adjoining quadrangles. In addition, if we know about any trails near the location you selected, we will identify their locations on the same page.

Do I have to sign-up, register or pay to use this service?
No, no and no. Topo maps are free! No sign-ups, registration, or other annoying hoops!

How many different lat-lon locations can I search per day?
You can search 10 different lat-lon locations per day. This is to prevent abuse of the service. You can always use the search bar at the top of the page to locate placenames and map names.

What will happen if the area I click and "Submit" is located outside the lower 48 states?
Not much really, you will be returned to this page.
