What is backpacking? Backpacking is hiking while carrying a backpack! There are many
different types of backpacks and depending on where you're backpacking, you will need a backpack
that's fit for the trip you're traveling.
The length of your hike and the anticipated weather will in part determine what you should
carry in your pack. If you're backpacking europe and planning to stay in bed and breakfasts
then the items you pack may differ considerably from someone who plans to camp. Plan ahead,
think about safety, and enjoy your trip.
