Internet Access & Internet CafesYou shouldn't have a problem finding an Internet cafe in Europe. While you're backpacking, you will probably find more than one in just about every city you visit. As you would expect, some cafes are more expensive than others. The cost is usually posted at the door.Oftentimes you can find free Internet access from public libraries. This usually requires that you reserve time in advance, but if you're staying in a particular location for a few days then this shouldn't be a problem. If you know you're going to pass through a city where a University is nearby, then look for an Internet Cafe near the University. Internet Cafes are usually less expensive near Universities. Before you make reservations at a youth hostel, ask if they have Internet access. Sometimes you can find inexpensive youth hostels that also offer free Internet access. Things usually aren't that great though, so expect to pay a few Euros for an hour of Internet access at your youth hostel. If you just need to send an email back to your loved-ones then keep an eye-out for a phone booth with e-mail capabilities. There's quite a few of them located throughout Europe, and the cost of sending an e-mail from one of them is very inexpensive.
