Vice and Immorality
In Swanage, England there's a little building on a twisted alley just off of High Street. This building is known as the Old Town Lock-up, as photographed above. Built in 1802 (and no longer in use) the single room stone building was used to lock-up drunks and vagrants for the night.Above the entrance to this tiny room the words remain, "Erected for the Prevention of Vice and Immorality by the Friends of Religion and Good Order".
