| Back: Osmington Mills // Forward: Rodwell

Our route continues along the esplanade to (366). Cross the street at (367) where there's a pedestrian crossing. Immediately after crossing the street, turn left and walk to the corner. At the corner, turn right and walk to the train station at (369). The trains departing from (369) arrive in major cities such as London and Bristol via direct routes. There are rest rooms at the train station.
Cross the street in front of the train station to (370) and then immediately turn right. Keep an eye on the ground and look for the old train tracks about 100 feet ahead. The tracks are no longer used. When you see the old tracks, turn left and follow them to the pedestrian street crossing at (372). At (372), cross the street and then cross the bridge. At the other side of the bridge turn left, and then follow the water to the roundabout.
An alternate route is to walk from (367) to (N), the location of Nothe Fort. For more infomation about Nothe Fort visit www.nothefort.co.uk
From the roundabout, walk to the Rodwell trail head at (376). As the Rodwell trail was once the original Great Western Railway Line, the trail is elevated and flat. Today the trail is paved, shared with bikes, and has great views of the surrounding area. |
