The Trail of Time is a popular tourist destination and part of the Rim Trail; it offers an interpretive guide to the geology of the park. Every meter of the trail is marked with a brass plaque representing one million years in time. Along the trail you will be able to see and feel different samples of rocks taken from within the canyon. The trail is located between Verkamp's Visitor Centre and Yavapai Geology Museum. Wheelchair accessible.
The length of the Trail of Time in Grand Canyon National Park is 1.0 miles and requires around 28 minutes to hike one-way. The trail has a maximum elevation of 6,994 feet, a cumulative elevation gain of 0.2 miles and a cumulative elevation loss of 0.3 miles.
