The Lomaki Trail is a short, uneven trail that leads to the Lomaki and Box Canyon Pueblos. Ancient Sinagua Indians lived and farmed squash, beans and corn on this land from 1100AD to 1225AD. At the entrance to the trail near the parking lot are pit toilets and picnic benches; summer months are very hot and there is very little shade at this location. All Puebloan dwellings are protected by Federal law, please do not remove or disturb any artifacts.
