The Wildrose Peak Trailhead is located at the Charcoal Kilns — structures perfectly preserved for turning lumber to charcoal for silver mining towards the end of the 1800's. The trail begins with a steady climb through acres of Pinyon Pine — at various locations on the hike it becomes more strenuous. The views from the trail are worth the strenuous uphill hike — the panoramic views of the salt flats as well as the distant landscape of the Panamint Mountains are a beautiful sight to see. Rest at the top and enjoy the scenery before the return journey along the same trail.
The Wildrose Peak Trail has a maximum elevation of 8,232 ft., a minimum elevation of 6,854 ft. and an elevation range of 1,378 ft.
