The Sandys Canyon Trail is a short, easy hike that follows the rim of Walnut Canyon and descends after a short distance into Sandys Canyon. Although this trail is popular for family hiking and horseback riding, hikers who want to trek much longer distances can access the Arizona Trail from here — the trailhead for the Marshall Lake and Fisher Point section of the Arizona Trail is located at an intersection at the end of the old jeep tracks that line the inner floor of Walnut Canyon.
